Amen to that, SabreHawk... especially the buttons at the crossings
Like most others, I use 256-1024x to get to interesting areas, making hydrophone 'listenings' every few hours if I feel I am in an area that might see traffic. When I make contact I won't go above 32x. I've had too many mishaps when in visual range of ships and trying to save time by upping the TC. Before you know it the convoy are zig-zagging, or the DDs are giving you a broadside. So now I take it nice and steady, and enjoy the slow build up before the fireworks start
