Hello Scoochy,
" ... I own Rise of Flight. Patches are not forced installs, you have the chance to cancel and back out if there is anything you want to revert to stock. ..."
How should this work with RoF ? As soon as i start the game, it tries to connect to the internet. It does not even start at all without online checking for updates, even if you are then able to play a few missions offline, if not campaign and anything that matters
" ... Unless, by force install you mean you are unable to play the game until it's patched, then I misunderstood you. ..."
Well that is exactly what i meant, but .. since you said it - how do you roll back a patch, and then play the game ? Is this possible ?!
Yes, i also own RoF, but also OFF

I have to say that from the value of gameplay and parts of the handed down historical in-flight behaviour, i find OFF more exact, but this is my personal opinion. As an early plane training sim, RoF is certainly great and fun to "fly" - with the ad nauseum discussed online requirement ..
Thanks and greetings,
Catfish
