Know about the spat between Activision and IW? Some top execs at IW didn't agree with the direction Activision was stearing them in and effectively rebeled. Don't think IW will be making any CoD games anymore...

Also, last I heard, Activision wanted to move towards subscription model. Not clear if it will apply to the mainstream games or to some spin-off series though.

Imho 1 game per year is getting close to shovelware, and they actually want to make more of 'm.
