Right, it removes the renown awarded in the stock game for reaching the assigned grid, and the additional renown for completing the 24 hour patrol there.
WB has a mod that overwrites the basic.cfg file and puts it back in, but if you want it and don't want that file overwritten you can just edit the file manually.
IIRC there was also renown awarded in stock for returning all the way to base (I assume this means not teleporting) which was also taken out (?) but I've seen mention of the fact that this renown award never worked anyway (stock bug) so I don't know if putting it back in would be worthwhile. I did, just in case.
