To what end?
One, in RL subs were not torpedoed by aircraft that I know of.
Two, ASW patrol aircraft would not carry torpedoes, and jap snooper planes also did not carry torpedoes. As a result, the only torpedo-armed planes would be strike forces en route to targets. Even if they saw a sub, they'd ignore it, they'd be OTW to attack a carrier or something better (and in game, they'd attack YOU, which is silly).
