One thing I like is that if you attack an enemy army that has lots of guns, it will not always rush you, they will happily shell you until you are forced to attack. The Danes gave me a nasty surprise, I only had howitzer support and forgot just how flat that damned country is.
Lost a looot of men in that one, nowhere to hide, and my cavs desperate flanking manouver was cut down like grass.
But yeah, battles are too easy after a while. Still, I reckkon modders will fix this.
