As has been discussed at length on these forums, it has a myriad of features to offer, including, but not limited to:
- State-of-the-art graphics
- Boats you can fully explore
- Wolf packs
- Milk cows
- Scripting and terrain editing tools
- An AI with far more potential than the ones in III and 4
- Far more accurate harbours than in SHIII
- Far greater diversity of missions than SHIII's "go sit in this patrol zone for 24 hours, okay? kthxbai".
...and that's just scratching the surface.
