I'd rather not have a tour through the uboat. I'd hoped you could just walk through there like you can do with the USS Cod in Cleveland (was there last year - really really great...go there!! ). So I guess my questions are:

Do I have to take a tour to see the insides of u-505?
If so, do I have to book in advance?
And further if so, do I have to book in advance weeks before or just a couple of days?

Thanks for any info on that topic!!
When I went last May, bought the ticket and went on the tour same day. You have to buy a ticket to walk through, tour is the only option unless you opt for the hardhat tour. Call for details on that.
