I never use very high time compression, things can happen too quickly.

close to port, I stay on the bridge and use 4x to 16x TC ready to drop to 1x any time I see something unusual or potentially dangerous.

The ports and harbour traffic are nicely done. The only other thing we need would be navigation buoys to mark the ship channel and ships giving way to the right to maintain proper navigation rules in port.
