Just a thought that would make the torpedo targeting numbers, the 1, 2 and 3, easier to spot.

Why not give the 1,2 and 3 of your torpedo eg. a red background.

This way it will be so much clearer when a torpedo number that is than a red 1 goes over a white 1, that is the number of your target ship.

Now it is just a blur of white numbers and sometimes hard to spot what is a torpedo number and what a ship number. Just a soup white digits on your map.
