REQ: Campaign mod (i will help too!)
First of all I'm not a modder, but have used many of the mods on this forum for the SH games so thanks to all you great tech geniuses! However i do write copy professionally for my marketing/comms business, and i make my "modding" offer from that perspective.
Leaving aside the well documented bugs in SH5, one of the areas i am really dissapointed about is the campaign. The structure of major and minor objectives is okay but i feel its really missing the "immersion" factor because as usual with SH they have done so little on briefings, news, communications etc...It's as if you and your little sub live in some closed off part of the universe which has no idea whats going on in the rest of the war.
In my opinion one of the factors which made GWX 3.0 such a great mod was the addition of tons of radio messages regarding other events in the game world - real or not.
So I'm volunteering to help write/proof-read extra communications/messages/news received during the campaign for any mod which will attempt to sort of "GWXise" the SH5 campaign.
As a starting point it would be relatively simple to look at important war news starting September 1939 and write "dry" communications detailing these events. However i have no idea how to mod games so i dont know how one would actually implement the new messages, so if anyone knows and wants to do this, let me know and we can get started.
Of course, if modding the campaign is too difficult no worries, it was just a thought as to how to make SH5 much more immersive.
