Yeh... action that went tits up.
To my defence, I must add that the last undamaged tanker that I attacked with two torpedoes was the game messing with me. It said the speed was 15 knots, I shot and both torpedos missed by the bow. Bah!
I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the patrol, I was waiting for a longer one but as it happened, I literally ran into an convoy on my way to the patrol area (which I had chosen before starting the patrol to be the coast around Tyne). I mean, well, I still have 30+ hours before I reach Wilhemshaven (tho, might hit the 'Ludicrous speed' button as I have plenty of fuel to burn
), but I was waiting for a week or two at sea.
Would I do it again? I'm kinda thinking to start a new one on Monday, either to the South Western Approaches or to the coast of Norway. Not sure about it yet, but we'll see.
