You see, that's how political spin works. Technically, Clinton never lied since he didn't have sex with Lewinsky. "Besides, what IS the definition of 'is' "
Ubi's description is a very accurate description. It is also a very deceptive description since it implies demand for the PRODUCT, not demand for AUTHENTICATION of the product.
You don't see how that statement is pure propaganda? It makes people think the complete opposite of reality.
Perception = people love the product, its awesome, sales are so high we are having trouble keeping up with demand
Reality = we are undergoing a denial of service attack, very few of our consumers can play the game, the forums are exploding with negative comments of legitimate consumers who can't play their games

Of course you might have had a point if Ubisoft had not also said...
Quote:
"Our servers endured a massive DDoS attack. "

And...
Quote:
Apologies to anyone who couldn't play ACII or SH5 yesterday. Servers were attacked which limited service from 2:30pm to 9pm Paris time
|
And...
Quote:
Our servers are under attack again. Some gamers are experiencing trouble signing in. We're working on it and will keep you posted.

Servers were attacked and while the servers did not go down, service was limited from 2.30pm to 9pm Paris time

So as much as you would like to make it look like Ubisoft is trying to "spin" things in their favor, I am afraid the facts just don't support it.
Pesky things, those facts.
