That's how ebay shows the bid when you do put in how much you want to bid and someone else bids against you, it shows you bidding more than once.

So far six bids, but they are all by only 2 people. Why do so many people bid more than once?! 
There's no need to bid more than once; if you simply put in how much you're willing to spend, eBay takes care of all the bidding autmatically.  |
