I think they were hoping to have it somewhat like the opening movie a little.

Think what you wish, I prefer not to pay to beta test games for developers... Thats part of the reason I get burned out on certain video games. Tollerating some bugs on release day is normal, but to the point that it seriously effects gameplay and the one thing they labeled this game as "A simulator."
I had the same issue with Spore at it's release. Anyone who watched the Wright videos that where an hour and a half of him showcasing the game knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about, half the features that where promised never made it to the game.
BF2, same story, videos show fast roping and different variants of the Blackhawk and what not, none of it was implimented into the game and never explained away.
If you are going to advertise something as a feature of a game and use it to sell your product, it dang well better be in it. I took the video that was posted (and now the intro) as an example of ingame play, not purely cinematic. The game is close, but not even remotely close enough to justify purchasing it. We were told this game was a simulator when infact it's an arcade game under guise of a simulator.
As I said before, I prefer not to pay 45-65$ to beta test a game for companies and find the game killing bugs for them. Especially considering most of these bugs would have been OBVIOUS in an internal Beta that was taken seriously...
