First off I have to say I am a bit confused with the version number, and people saying it is auto-updating. Mine did not update on it's own. I had to run Silent Hunter 5\Support\GameUpdater\gu.exe to update my game. If I had not seen threads here I would not have known through the software alone that there was an update... very odd others auto-updated... I don't see anywhere that I have turned the feature off.
As for version numbers, mine was v1.0.5 as shown on the main screen. The patcher said it was downloading and installing v1.0.1 (which of course looks like a step back). When running the game the main screen now shows v1.1.5

As I said above, I had to make it patch, obviously others didn't. With mine, after the file was downloaded it asked me if I wanted to execute it right away. Obviously I am not sure if it asked the people who auto-updated.
