In July '42 I got a radio report of a large task force heading towards Liverpool from the NE of Ireland. Naturally I was patrolling south of Ireland, out of Brest, and nearly out of diesel

So I couldn't pursue...

Apart from that, the only warships I've ever encountered or heard a radio report of are the usual DD convoy escorts, and an occasional lone DD going somewhere.

You might try the mission editor, I set up a couple BB's escorted by 4 DD's the other night, and managed to kill both BB's before I died
