The vicious irony here is that it almost seems like a no-brainer, after days and days of rain, to crank up the TC and try to outrun the bad weather more quickly... and all you get is more days and days of rain.
Based on what I've read here I am really hesitant to go above 128 in any area where I'm expecting (or hoping) to have enemy contacts anyway. I will still crank it all the way up (which for me is 1024) if I'm on the way out to or back in from a patrol, and in relatively friendly waters... altho even that's risky and I only do it in short spurts.
