I presume what you mean is that there are less NAV map updates, all the boxes are light gray and there is less info. Your boat does show up as a dot, unless you zoom in very close. You also lose all target lines on the ATTACK map.
That is the way it shows up in RFB 2.0, I'm afraid. AFAIK, the only way to go back to the stock behavior is to uninstal the mod.
