I'm having the exact same problem.

I DL'd (and thought I was using) "Real Damage Mod For 1.3 and New DC/Sonar Fix" from Subsim.com.

Does this mod work with 1.4b?

Am I supposed to use other mods or a certain game setting to get it to work? I'm playing at 57% realism.
