The only one that's realy useful is "Report closest visual contact".
As more contacts start to become visible, and their Range is becoming super-predictable (by you), you are on a very nearly (or exactly) paralel course with your future victims.
(Good time to try matching there speed).
It's also a healthy time to start keeping a sharp eye forward, for the lead escort!
