Luck Ran Out

Well after another long absence I got back into the swing of things and took U-35 out,my first sortie of 2010 actually!!

After a quick shakedown of the boat,Kaleun J.Becker was once again heading into the deep. As follows is some of the action:

8/07/1940:Left Helgoland after U35 was in for repairs after striking 2 mines on her way out on last sortie.
14/07/40:Am51-Ship sunk Small Merchie-just a bit under 3K tons
15/07/40:I really wish my screenshot were working!! but here goes:Nelson BB-36 000,two empire type freighters @ 6700 tons each 1 eel into Nelson Pics would have been good she settled on an even keel with flashes of lightning behind her(should have seen it as an omen though)
17/07/40:Al62 Small Merchie gunned down another 2.8K tonnage.
20/07/40: Al35-Large Tanker-7500 Tons...This is where it turned bad....Got bounced by 3 Flowers,Ran silent & deep, trashcans falling all round, started taking damage, seasoned crew worked feverishly to keep her going. Started taking on water at 2:45am,slowly sank to 210meters before we arrested the decent with frantic ballast blowing and ahead flank. U35 was lost at 3:12am with all hands. His luck finally ran out

Rip Joseph Becker 22/05/11 - 20/07/40
Tonnage 238002 Merchant:114012
Warship:123990

Anyhow been good myself
