Oh I assume he is perfectly
able to grasp that. It's just that he is
not willing. Telling by repeated bad experience, I recommend you stop wasting your breath. It's not for no reason that many people have switched him to "ignore". You can tell him whatever you want, and repeat it as often as you want, it will never matter.
