WIP :Diesel startup sequence for Flatmonkey's Engine room

EDIT 02/22/2010 : see this thread !!!!!!!!!! http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=162227

Hi,

for all (and especially Flakmonkey)

EDIT 02/20/2010 (see page #2) : still WIP, and still a major problem with in-game tests : "my" sound is played only on times per session. What's wrong . Need a lot of fine tunes... Let's go !!

As Flakmonkey's VIIC Engine room promise to be a wonderful work, i think it will need a good diesel startup sequence sound (like SH4).

But somebody, in a yesterday's post told me about Thomsen's sound Pack, so i tried it and....what a surprise !!! Diesel startup sequence is the one from SH4, a Fairbank-Morse US diesel engine...This sound is very good, but not real for U-boat...as MAN diesels sounds are greatly differents.

So, as i'm the proud owner of "Das Boat" in DVD version, i will try to record its own MAN diesel startup sequence (remember, just before the end, when the u-96 just emerges from the deep) and then, make a .wav, .ogg or .mp3 sound file for SH3.

EDIT : as Flakmonkey seems to meet some difficulties with the 3D engine animation, sound synchronization will be a secondary objective....

EDIT 2 :01/29/2010 : WIP !!!! Aaaaaaaaarrrrhh !!! "Das boat" diesel startup sequence is launched : as i digitalize "olds" LP with Cool Edit, this one created distorsion with my many attempts with "das boat : LP's recording needs to be amplified. Not DVD's sound track recordings....Just tweaking Cool Edit was the solution !!!!

Thanks for the guys who tried to help me !!!

I Will try to upload on subsim a bêta version (or final version if Flakmonkey can't add 3D animation of his diesel's room) this weekend, but i can't promise it yet, as i've got a lot's of work with many real horses on saturday and sunday morning.
