Just tried SH3_XPSP2_Res_Fix_for_1.4b, change resolution to my 1280*800, but it didn't make much difference, except made the scale in nav map look very weird, so I changed it back.
You don't need to worry about it break your game, since it can be easily uninstalled as in my case.
