) sure that you Sir know what I meant.
Unlike the type XVIII Walter that never got a chance to sail as these boats were cancelled in favour of the XXI in 1944, quite a few XXI got commissioned

- though I agree with you, none of them sunk significant tonnage, as most if not all were used as training boats until the end of the war.
