I remember one occasion when the seas were too rough to get the crew on deck and I only had one Torp left -- which I fired at a coastal Merchant and got it smack in the running gear.
It reduced speed from 5 Knots to 0
I had the choice of sitting for hours waiting for the seas to calm
or getting back to base -- and I remember feeling that it would be nice to get sommat for damaging a vessel
