As for moving SH5 elements into SH4, some great mods have been made for SH3 after SH4 was looked at closely (Water Streams comes to mind).
If SH4 works as advertised, it may be better to mod it to have desired elements, as Ducimus says.
Or hope for a fleet boat add-on.
