I don't know about that, but SH4 U-Boat missions will get you to version 1.5 (the last one, as far as I know)
It's a $5 download on Steam... not a bad deal for an add-on.
Kinda lame that that's the only way to get the 1.5 patch, but $5 shouldn't break the bank.
