Outrun by the HMS Hood...
By 'accident', I stumbled upon a British taskforce, northwest of Ireland and couldn't believe my luck, smack in the middle of it was the HMS Hood!
The weather was perfect with mirror-like water, so U-104 menaged to press out 19 knots to intercept the target.
Fact was, the taskforce liked the weather aswell and was chugging away at approx. 21 knots!
I was in an unfavourable position to launch an eel and in any case too far for the torpedoes so I decided to stalk them for the time being, see where they end up.
Unfortunately they set sail for the Atlantik, so no luck in cutting them off somewhere...
A beautiful chance missed, perhaps even the outcome of the Krieg!
I encoutered her late 41'
