Flushing the toilet in a submarine is a major operation - much more than just pushing a handle. Do you also want the part where you wait in line for five other guys before you can use the one toilet available? Do you also want to see the part where the toilet is locked while in battle, as mentioned before, and see the guys going in a pot in the control room?
Do you also want to see people puking while the depth charges are falling all around? I don't.
