Thanks for the links, been a railroad fan since I was a little kid. Actually got to ride in one of the last steam loco's on the SP line. I was about 6 years old.
Road it from Bakersfield to Van Nuys Ca.
Long story short, I hopped a north bound freight in Van Nuys that always stopped in Northridge but didn't that day.
Ended up in Bakerfield's yard, lost.
Was able to explain enough about where I got on that one of the engineers was able to figure it out. Sent me home in a south bound freight and I screamed and cried till the let me ride in the Loco. Not bad for a 6 year old.
