Yep, Netherlands it is. And I lied! Went to ATM, took some shots.

Powder snow + wind = deathtrap. It blows up against the curbs: 1 second you're trudging through 10cm of snow, the next you're tripping over something.



Had more, but because it was still dark, the longer exposure and me not being able to keep the camera still produced some horrible blur.

As for the average, it depends. Here it's just a few days a year, if at all. Further East (further from the coast) gets more snow. With that first snowfall, we got something like 5 cm, while it reached 40-50cm in the east, particularly north-east saw some heavy snow. I'd say average conditions are 10-15cm per year (probably double further inland), lasting about a week, 2 at most, untill the temperature goes above freezing again. The snow we got today is probably gone tonight, as temperatures should climb to +2C today.
