We would have what we have now, but a european republic. i have a feeling it would be crumbling or would have crumbled by now, like communism did. it seems impossible to keep on sqeezing a population under one tyrany; they all fall in the end, only to be replaced by another one - less openly tyranical, then slowly, the knot begins to tighten.....
