Still have an E8500 core duo, but i see no justifcation to go for a Quad core just yet. The AMD Phenom is attractive - but i cant be arsed with the hassle and expense of needlessly replacing the mobo.
Upgraded my card from a 9800GT to a GTX 275 - but not specifically for SH5.
Also done away with WinXp and gone for Windows 7 Ulitmate x64
(and so far i have not looked back) it has also 'unlocked' my 4th Gb of Ram which Xp could not use due to the limitations of 32-bit.
Best thing about Windows 7? ... CHESS!! w00t!
