Do you have the LRT mod enabled? I see the patches for it, but not the actual mod itself.
As for Thomsen's NID mod, check
www.silenthuntermods.com/forum, and under the 'Silent Hunter 3 - Mods' section look for Philipp Thomsen's mod thread. Latest version is 1.3, which should work with GWX3. Be warned, a direct hit from an ashcan will swamp your boat instantly!
