Looking at some photos with soldiers standing next to it, they're heads are abit under the top edge and with some soldiers who are noticeable taller than the other have their heads roughly at the same level with the top edge of the hull.
That in mind, you're calculations seems to be fairly accurate (I was hoping for a "official" figure, but I searched the net too without results
).
So, the true height of the hull would be, give or take, 1.5 meters (I've seen ground clearance figure of 49cm).
