french SSN rubis class are the smallest attack submarines around that are nuclear they are noisey not as noisey as some boats like the HAN or XIA but still not quite there in terms of quietness
as for the SNLE (SSBN) they still do not match the quietness of the vanguard class and the vanguard cuts close to the ohio class in noise
the new astutes are to be as quiet if not quieter than the current seawolf class making them the second quietest SSN on earth
as for the trafalgar class the rubis makes more noise cant dive as deep or go as fast as these british boats making them the weaker link
the french SNLE programme is not overly amazing infact they just like every other boring western submarine simple plain and down right ugly there is nothing like waking up to a typhoon that id do anyday
