I agree Ducimus, it was rather interesting, no external view, stuck inside while the charges were so close...VERY loud.

Something I also did was although on silent running, ran at ahead 1/3 via the telegraph, did not do what i do in newer fleetboats and set speed on knot meter at exactly 1 knot, which is about 35-40 RPM's according to the gauges in conning tower, pretty quiet.The older boats like Porpoise, Sargo, Salmon were not as quiet, so sticking with history, just order ahead 1/3 which keeps boat at about 1.5 knots, just over 50 RPM's, makes more noise, such as older boats did, made evasion little tougher.


Oh yea, can escorts run out of charges?
