Default Trumpeter 1/144 Kilo SSK Build Thread

Well it arrived today so I have cut the hull from the sprues and done a trial fit of the hull. Probably the largest model I have ever made.

Sturdy sprue, needs quite a knife and care to cut through.

Trial fit, looks good even with masking tape holding it together.

Looks like the two halves of the lower hull are a bit springy but shouldn't be a problem. As long as I use the tape to hold them together. Also I will need to further sand down the stubs from where I cut it off the sprue. I can still see daylight between the seam of the lower hulls when I look in from where the sail will go.

That's all for tonight. Will do more on Friday. Need to get a better knife and some sanding sticks.
