I never experienced this until i upgraded my OS to win7 but now i see what ive gotten a lot of PMs about, and it just dawned on me that they were likely reports from vista users...
when you enable the german speech fix, JSGME will appear to "hang". it wont appear to be doing anything, even the hour glass will look frozen. I had to wait and FULL 1-2 minutes before the dialog box popped up to enable the mod. And id like to further emphasize that the dialog box appeared BEHIND the JSGME window, i had to move the mod window to get to the enable popup dialog behind it. This was all before JSGME would should the green progress bar in the bottom right...
moral of the story, be VERY PATIENT!  happy german sailing... |
Concur, I have also had the same behaviour with Win XP Pro SP3, JSGME is comparing and pulling hundreds of files during this process it is intensive and with my now ageing AMD X2 4800 it takes a while.
