I like very much the idea of the Dönitz/Flotilla chief (Not Adolf, please, would sure attract lots of legal issues against the game. Let the modders do that later in any case) screen/footage awarding the medals.
The only thing I would beg is please do not make it 3D if the devs can't provide good 3D human models. For me nothing kills more the inmersion of the scene than seeing unhuman cyborgs moving around.
