I wanted to play a bit more with this bug to try and find a solution. I've must have sunk that Fuso a dozen times. No matter where I hit it, or how fast I sunk it, it would not show up as a confirmed sinking. I even watched it sink the entire time and it made no difference. Oh well, chalk it up to realism that not everything gets counted.
Oh, is there some kind of set number of things that need to be sunk or something like that for a patrol? I'm about to head back to port to refit for the third time as it still does not show mission completed.
