Good things to know. After spending better part of a day infiltrating Tokyo harbor with a full set of torpedoes, sinking some high value targets, including another Fuso Battleship in the beginning, barely escaping when two subchasers and two destroyers converged on me at the same time and were pretty upset with me sinking the things they were supposed to be protecting, sunk all four of them (one of them split into two and didn't register as sunk) then finally leaving the harbor with one forward torp and one rear torp left. I was going to save these torps for my journey back to Perl. But seeing a Fuso at the exit of the harbor, just slowly moving, it was too good of a opportunity to pass up. I saved it this time just in case, as I had real doubts that two torps would be enough to take down such a large ship and if it didn't, I would just reload and head back to Perl (Too bad we can't reload in real life ). Snuck to a 1000 feet, stuck the forward torp into the stern of the battleship which showed not a sign of damage from the first torp, Pull forward enough to put my rear torp into it's side, and low and behold, must have hit a magazine because the entire ship started exploding. I was all excited, seeing it tipping over on it's side, and then sinking to the shallow bottom with the very edge of it's starboard side sticking out. Then I saw there was no recognition that the ship was sunk. I was like "Noooooooooooo". Then I sulked off to bed.

A bit about me: Started playing sub sims since Gato on the Apple II, 688 Attack on the Sega Genesis, Seawolf (Man, playing tag with Alpha's was incredible), another sub sim on the PC that I can't remember. Haven't touched a sub sim in awhile. Amazing how work and life interferes with having fun. Picked up Silent Hunter 4 Gold, and have been having a great time. I didn't know if I wanted to play a old WWII sub sim again, as I liked the modern subs so much, asroc's, wake homing torpedoes, etc. But it's been a blast with it.

Though I not nearly as hard core as some of you are. Just insane how much work some of you have time to dedicate to this. I do leave on the computer to calculate the trajectory of the torps, and I do turn off the dud torps (If my torp crew maintains the torps, I'd have them figure out a way to fix the bloody detonator!). I leave everything else on realism, even though I know our sub commanders had to go through this, but they had a crew to help them.

Since this is a simulator, and it's incredible how much Ubisoft followed history, from what I remember the Musashi and Yamamoto were kept in the harbor for fear of loosing their prized battleships. Are these anchored in some harbor in the game?
