Well depends on the info you have and what you are looking for.
First I filter if I need. You can look for a certain country. I've been leaving that blank. The next one I use often. Filter for Subs or Skimmers etc. Click set filter button.
Next if you are doing a DEMON or something you can filter by unit say if you have a visual or ESM ID, or by blades. Click find. Bingo you can see you TPK. not to mention the freqs you should be seeing. I don't use this a lot either.
The meat is the find sonar profile section. First clear the other areas, well maybe you will still filter by sub/surface but I doubt any others. Next figure out how many Hz of tolerance you want. Otherwise if you type 49 in the first box lets say you won't get any hits. It is very hard to get the freq right on so I usually set this between 3 and 8.
Okay next start entering the freqs you have. If it is a towed array contact you probably have the first 1 or 2. For a non-US sub 50 for the first and 125 for the second. Press find. Now the list will only show platforms with 50 and 125 Hz Tonals. So you see right off that you need the next freq that should be 320/340/360 to further classify. You also see that any of them you will see are either 7tpk or 10tpk. Not that you will ever get them on BB to use DEMON
