Kapt Z,

You should try laying her in a pen using your boating skill which matches well against RL docking.

I watch knobs who have the money to spring for $ boats who crash into their slip with a bunch of guests trying to handle lines. A little bit of weather throws them off with wind or current causing havoc.

In the sim, you can ease her in at slow to no speed using momentum calling for reverse and using the rudder but not independent twin screws as the boat reacts as if she had a single screw.

Now here is the fun part. If you screw up ... well that could be bad would it not?

So give it a try and you will become hooked. Returning to base with one round in the chamber is a fun ... and docking in a pen is very immersive. You will feel accomplishment and be ready for proper shore leave!
