Hi KeybdFlyer
Ah yes! I can remember buying 78 vinyl albums myself which appeared after WWII - and inheriting my father's from his his mispent youth (Frank Sinatra etc). The pre-war material did have a hell of a lot of noise in them even new actually as the material for the 78's was poor and pre-vinyl - they broke (shattered) easly when dropped whereas my post war 78's could be tossed about (Beatles etc.). I have a collection of pre-war opera (Yikes don't run!) and were well cared for by a deceased collector. Someday I should get them digitized and remove some of the noise (not that bad as they did not have kids playing them) but I have a war to wage and my boat needs me LOL. I am glad you cleaned them up and I am sure many will appreciate. Jimbunas collection is great.
How would you suggest taking the files Jimbuna assembled and place them onto a DVD or into a MP3 thingy ( can tell I am not an audiophile ) soz I can listen to them anytime without firing up the game? BTW I was in the UK last month and wished I could have listened to the WW2 era music as I drove the coastline! I fly the BoB and went to a few spots like Tangmere and could see the Channel and visualize the air combat. Needed a sound track in my head!
