What I dont understand is, if they are allowed to play late to make up for lost time, then why dont the powers that be arrange to make 'start of play' at say 10am or even 9am?

Even if they play through till 7pm there is still the danger of Bad Light stopping play later that evening whereas starting earlier could remove that chance.


And another thing.....

Why, during the 20/20 world cup, when playing under flood lights and rain stopped play......why did they then reduce the number of overs when as far as i can see, they can play till late into the evening with the aid of the floodlights!
