What am I missing?

For a long time I thought I liked to watch racing. I liked all sorts of motorsports from F1 to IRL to NASCAR and other series. For a while now, though, I just can't get into it anymore. It has gotten boring to me. It's like watching a type of high speed parade. Road courses don't have much overtaking and oval courses usually turn out the same - if you seen one you seen them all (just who wins seems to change). I'm tired of seeing races won or lost in the pits and a single file progression around the track when watching road courses. It seems as if there is no real "racing" anymore. I don't even bother tracking races anymore. How do you think I could make it interesting again? I'd love to actually go to an event, but they are just too far away.
