Oh there are racist cops out there, that's for sure. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to be a cop and a certain racist mentality is very common among not just the cops themselves but the law enforcement agencies from top to bottom.

Also these cases of arresting people for "exchanging words with the police", "verbal insult" or "loud and unruly behavior" are pretty iffy. It's a pretty shadowy line that the cop makes a decision about on the spot in the heat of the moment. And of course when there is no footage of the incident the cops are trusted rather than the individuals. And in cases of cops using physical force they can also walk free even if they beat people up etc. if there is no hard evidence against them.

Strange how some freedom-lovin' americans would be so quick to give so much power basically to the government.
